about

Charlotte Brown may be a native of Tennessee but Philadelphia is her home! She has
worn many hats over the years pushing tirelessly for positive change in the city she
loves.
Her work in the community ranges from youth and community advocacy to job
creation and providing safe haven for displaced youth to name a few.
One of
Philadelphia’s toughest challenges and an issue very close to Mrs. Brown’s heart is the
public health crisis of gun violence. We are a city losing our young people at epidemic
rates – and Mrs. Charlotte, as she is affectionately known, has taken on the mantle to
save our children.
She has inserted herself into the fiber of the community with the
intent to make real and sustainable change.

Charlotte Brown has a background in pharmacy, mental health, special education,
political science and arts in Teaching (strategies and methodology of intentional
teaching). She is an Empowerment and Support Service Specialist, Youth advocate,
Mentor, Educator, Humanitarian Advocate.
She’s a Youth Aid Panelist for the D.A.’s
Office, a member of the Police District Advisory Council and so much more.

How we Started

Mrs. Brown understands the strength of community and the power of
what can be accomplished by a mighty few that insist on change. She
founded The Elite 30 Association & Coalition in 2017 to bring the
voices and resources of community minded individuals, non and for
profit organizations, and local businesses together to spark a change
in a city of neighborhoods hit hard by daily challenges and in need of
resources and support.
